Ladies!
UR Special's August distribution is going to look a bit different this year. They are putting together packets with kid's clothes and shoes and there will be a "crub side, no contact" distribution (think Wal-mart pick up or Chick Fil A drive thru). UR Special sent our letters for the kids to fill out their preferences on shirt color, jean color/size, and shoe color/size/style etc. So, while we will not be directly helping the kids pick out their clothes, a lot of help is needed putting together the packets of clothes to be ready on distribution day! Due to COVID and the fact that UR Special shares a building with Edmond Mobile Meals, only 3 volunteers at a time will be putting together packets, thus the large number of time slot you see listed! Please help by signing up!
Distribution days are Friday, August 7, Saturday, August 8, and Sunday August 9th in 3 hour shifts. On distribution day, volunteers will still be needed as well, they will be "runners": parents will arrive in the parking lot and call the phone number listed, give the child's name, and a "runner" will deliver a package to the car. Everyone will wear PPE provided by UR Special. Parent's have signed up for a time slot, so hopefully there won't be a huge crowd all at once. Lots of water will be provided.
