Edmond Women’s Club is proud to announce the creation of a memorial scholarship fund to honor the memory of Dr. Brittany R. McShane, DO. Brittany is the daughter of past President, Penny Cross, and she departed this life on September 28th, 2022. Brittany was a talented and dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This scholarship will be awarded to a recipient(s) who is pursuing a career in medicine.

Brittany grew up in Edmond and graduated in 2007 from Oklahoma Christian School. She then went on to pursue her passion for medicine. She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. Brittany was President of her medical school class and was Chief Resident of her residency. She was also named Student Doctor of The Year in 2017. Brittany was an incredibly compassionate physician, colleague and friend. She loved her career and was dedicated to the service of others. 

The impact Dr. Brittany R. McShane made on earth during her brief time here will last forever through the numerous lives she touched. This memorial scholarship fund was established so that other women can carry on the good work Brittany was doing in the medical field.
